The 59 OK-Junior drivers of the 3rd round of the WSK Super Master Series had a dry track at Sarno for their Qualifying Practice, unlike the wet track of the morning Free Practice. The sky remained grey and the thermometer rose to 12°.
Session 1: Drummond 56’302
Lewis Francis (KR/Iame) battled with Scott Marsh (Sodi/TM), then Kirill Dzitiev (Tony Kart/Vortex) gave up 1st position to Filippo Sala (Sodi/TM) who clocked a 56”354. However, Zac Drummond (Parolin/TM) finished in the lead – 56”302 – against Sala and Lev Krutogolov (Tony Kart/Iame). Sun Xiaoyu (IPK/TM) took 4th place ahead of Dries van Langendonck (Energy/TM). Louis Cochet (Sodi/TM), the only Frenchman in the category, was in the leading group for a long time and finished in 10th place.
Session 2: Bondarev 55”865
Oleksander Bondarev (KR/Iame) was already in 56” on his second lap and then dropped to 55”, followed by Jindrich Pesl (IPK/TM). Bondarev consolidated his pole position with a time of 55.865 on his final run, 0.124 seconds ahead of Pesl. Salim Hanna Hernandez (LN/Vortex) was 3rd. Lindblom finished 4th, more than two tenths behind, and Guy Albag 5th.
